My daughter Nell and I have been learning Tang Sou Dao for just over 6 months and we both absolutely love it! Master Treadaway is an expert at crafting classes that are suitable for men and women and boys and girls of all ages and abilities. We both enjoy learning practical self-defence techniques, as well as the traditional kicking, punching and blocking and training for general fitness. Initially I joined because I wanted Nell to learn discipline and to have the opportunity to expel some energy. It never occured to me before I found the TSD website that I could join in too, but I am so glad I did! I really enjoy spending time with my daughter on a shared activity, while getting my exercise in at the same time. It is great for both fitness and flexibility. I can't believe that in the 6 months that we've been training, I've lost over a stone; something I've never been able to achieve through exercise before. I would highly recommend Tang Sou Dao anyone interested in learning a martial art or practical self-defence.

Tang sou dao is a great martial art. I have done the sport for 10 years now. And i have learnt new skills and how to defend my self. This has improved my concentration skills and tought me respect. Tang sou dao has helped me with my dyspraxia. The lessons are fantastic for fitness and you have a great instructor as well.

I have really enjoyed my martial arts training in Grafham. The lessons are great fun and my fitness level has really improved. I prefer it than the mundane gym sessions. I would highly recommend these classes for anyone looking to learn practical self defence martial art, to improve fitness and confidence and conditioning.
Mr A. Newham, Spaldwick.

These classes are absolutely superb. The instructor is excellent and the classes are made enjoyable and understandable for all levels. The group is welcoming to newcomers whether they are complete novices or experienced. High recommended.

I attend sessions with my daughters and its a great way for us to all have fun, spend time together, learn something useful and also get a bit of exercise. I would definitely recommend this as something the whole family could get involved in.
Daniel Chapple, St Neots.
After never having carried out any form of martial art I have found the class's to be extremely beneficial both from a discipline and physical point of view. The classes are able to cater for a 42 year old who needs exercise to a 6 year old who needs to calm down. I would recommend to all that have gained a few pounds and want to learn something new.
John Creek, St Neots.
I have done martial arts for about 10 years in Karate and Tae Kwo Do, I moved to St Neots in 2008 and decided to try Tang Sou Dao after picking up a leaflet in my local leisure centre. I found this a great martial art, was very practicle. I thought I could kick well after 10 years of other martial arts practise… how wrong was I. The power of the kicks and training is amazing. The classes are friendly and welcoming and is a great way to learn a practical form of self defecne and keep fit at the same time.

Tang Sou Dao offers not just a martial arts school in which fitness, self defence, and technique is taught but Steve has built a close family were everyone trains together and pushes each other to give of their best. Classes are attended by all ages, both sexes and my families which helps to give a variety of personalities within the group. The variety of classes allows beginners and more advanced students to feel comfortable. The new lady's class allows for ladies of all fitness groups and ages to train hard and learn some self defence which is vital in this current climate. Steve is a great instructor who pushes individuals to give 110% even when your having an "off" day, his commitment to his students and the art is second to none. Highly recommended school for all.
Genna Rourke, St Neots
I have attended these classes now for two over two years. They are held in Houghton & Wyton memorial hall and various venues around St Neots. A friendly class suitable for all ages (my 5 and 7 year old do it) and all abilities. A fantastic way to keep fit, improve confidence for all the family.

Both my husband and my daughter were taught Tang Sou Dao in the same class which to my surprise worked extremely well. The patience and dedication of the instructor was amazing. The classes always had a very good turn out, started promptly and seemed to be enjoyed by all. If you ever had any concerns, they were dealt with promptly and the instructor was always very approachable. Cost wise-I was expecting the classes and uniforms to cost allot more than they did so was pleasantly surprised at the prices, especially as the uniforms were very well made and washed well too. Overall i cannot recommend these classes any higher.

I was looking for a martial arts club for me and my son to join, he was seven years old and i wanted him to learn fitness, self defence and discipline. After the first few weeks of joining Tang Sou Dao I could see immediatly all these boxes were ticked. Three and a half years in and we are now going 3 times a week and it is now part of my sons life. The training is hard and we are usually pushed to our limits to the point I generally need plenty of sofa time afterwards, but it is very rewarding. My eldest daughter has also now started and within a year or so we will be joined by our youngest daughter.
Paul Childerley, St Neots.
Originally it was just my 8 year old son who was going to go to Tang Sou Dao as i heard it is good for children with ADHD & austism. I had my concerns as he also has learning difficuities and language and communication problems. This has not been an issue in class and all tutors have been brillant and supportive with him. The whole family and teachers have seen an improvement in his concentrationn and confidence. The class has has a huge influence on him in a very postive way. It wasn't long before my 9 year daughter and husband followed suite and my 5 year old son! They all throughly enjoy the classes and look forward to being graded. I even like going to watch 🙂

Being a martial artist for some 22 years and being a qualified instructor and first degree black belt in Goya-ra-ru Karate and third dan blackbelt in Shotokai Karate it was with some reservation after a long period of injuries and illness that I decided to take up this martial art under instructor Master Steven Treadaway at the St Neots club. Starting afresh at novice white belt grade I was made very welcome. The students at the club range from all ages young and old. Training is geared to your own level of fitness and is great fun but hard work. Teaching is in English and Chinese which takes a little time to pick up. Having met some very accomplished martial artists in my time I must recommend Master Treadaway for his great technical ability and patience with all the students and the St Neots club in particular for their friendliness and comittment to Tang Sou Dao. Try it - you'll like it -a lot
Jim Yates, St Neots.
Tang Sou Dao has been a total inspiration to both of my children. They have made huge steps in both their confidence and self belief. Their fitness and abilities with this martial art has exceeded both myself and my husbands expectations. This is all due to the level of total dedication that is shown to them by their instructor Master Steven Treadaway.
Jeanette Thorn, St Neots.
Master Treadaway is an excellent tutor and caters for all levels of ability, fitness and age. Newcomers are immediately made to feel welcome which puts you at ease and aids learning. Lessons will teach you both mental and physical discipline while ensuring you understand the practical application of the techniques being taught. You will even learn a bit of chinese along the way!
Michael Basford, Huntingdon.
During mine and my son's time at Tang Sou Dao, I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my self and I can honestly say I think my son did as well. The classes are so friendly and welcoming. It is not just a class that you turn up to, its like its own little commmunity. The instructor Master Steven Treadaway, I found was helpful and friendly. Steve is a great instructor who pushes individuals to give 100%. The classes are not just about martial arts but about fitness as well, everyone has their own level and is taught at their level and pace there is no pushing to rise up the levels you are given your own time. The variations between the classes allows beginners and more advanced students to feel comfortable. The new ladies class which I attended breifly is good for women to learn self defence - so as a woman they feel more safe and secure in this current time.
Nicola Irons, St Neots.
My son has been practising Tang Sou Dao with Master Treadaway for a few months. He loves attending each class and I was pleased he done his first grading in February. The students are really friendly and helpful. I would recommend this martial arts to anyone regardless of age.

James Childerley (11) - St. Neots
have practiced in various Martial Arts for close to 30 years now. I have graded in different Arts and I have a 3rd Dan in a similar Korean style. After visiting Master Treadaway and watching classes I have recently joined the club and started training with him. I find Tang Sou Dao to be a very effective system combining the traditional long range powerful techniques with closer range faster strikes and evasive moves which unfortunately are all too often not taught in other styles. This all results in a comprehensive much more rounded Martial Art and modern day system of self defence. It’s taught by a highly qualified Instructor and his Black belts, all the clubs I have visited are friendly have a good atmosphere with students eager to learn and Instructors committed to passing on their knowledge.
